Let this multidisciplinary work carry you into a fascinating mythological world. This work uses music, dance, and video to recreate a ritual from the mysterious Urnossian civilization. Archaeological digs conducted north of the Indus Valley in the early 20th century unearthed fragments revealing a music notation system dating back to circa 3,000 B.C. A collective of creators have drawn inspiration from this discovery that has deeply changed how we see the world and evolution, and offer a freeform interpretation of this long-gone culture.

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
