Alain Giguère received his initial training with Jean Cousineau at the École des petits violins. He later earned a diploma from the Université de Montréal, where he studied with Vladimir Landsman. He currently performs as a permanent member of the Nouvel ensemble moderne (NEM), the Orchestre métropolitain du grand Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil, and the Orchestre symphonique de Laval.
