D’Arcy Philip Gray performs regular solo and chamber music concerts in various parts of Canada and has been teaching percussion at McGill University since 1991. From 1993 to 1995 Gray performed regularly with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company from New York and, since 1998, he has been a member of ensemble KORE (Montréal) and the Motion Ensemble (Fredericton). He is also a clinician for Yamaha Canada Music and an endorser of Sabian Ltd. In recent months he has given solo performances in Holland, Germany, Montréal, the Banff Centre, and released a recording of John Cage’s music for Mode records in New York. D’Arcy Philip Gray is a graduate of the Juilliard School (1992) and McGill University (1991). In 1995 he studied electronic music and performance practice with David Tudor in New York. He is also part of a team that is documenting the music of David Tudor for performance and exhibition.
