Sylvain Pohu » Biography

Montréal, Québec, 1976

Founding member of [iks], Sylvain Pohu is the ensemble’s guitarist and as well as one of its composers. He has taken on the role of leader and artistic director since 2007. His research is focused on sound and video installations and improvised electro-acoustic music through his master’s studies at the University of Montréal. Always drawn to music from he received his first guitar at age eleven. He has played guitar with many pop and contemporary bands both as member guest guest.
