Stephen Allan Rogers is a second-year Master’s student in Composition at McGill University’s Faculty of Music. Born in 1980 in Edmonton, Alberta, Rogers entered the University of Alberta in 1998 where he studied composition with Laurie Radford. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in History. Rogers moved to Montréal in 2002 to begin his Master’s at McGill where he currently studies composition under Brian Cherney. In February 2003, Roger’s work unalone (2002) was performed in concert by the Contemporary Music Ensemble of McGill. The premiere of iNTERtECTURE (2003) marks Rogers’ first appearance on the program of an international festival.
