Løp, Lokk og Linjar by Lasse Thoresen.
Norway comes to Montreal in the form of a masterful work tinged with the country’s atmosphere! In the hands of musicians from the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne under director Lorraine Vaillancourt, Løp, Lokk og Linjar vibrates with the sounds of traditional scandinavian melodies. Likened to Stravinsky’s Noces and Berio’s Folk-Songs, this critically acclaimed piece by Lasse Thoresen, has garnered the composer worldwide attention. To bring emotional depth to the traditional melodies, Norwegian folk singer Berit Opheim joins the Montreal ensemble, guiding the audience through her country’s fjords and other musical landscapes, where even animal calls play an enthusiastic role!
