Come and discover electric… strings! In the space of an evening, the Bozzini Quartet will wed bows and loud speakers in a concert of truly surprising works. Be sure not to miss Claude Vivier’s Pulau Dewata in an orchestral version completed by composer Michael Oesterle, with real-time electronic synthesis by digital magicians Alexandre Burton and Julien Roy. Since it was first introduced in 2002, the Bozzini Quartet has repeatedly taken this work on tour — Let’s catch it while it’s on the move! But night owls had best stick close to the nest, because this night at the SAT has only just begun.

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
