Freshness and energy for a dream world! Lonely Child comes to life at the hands of the Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal (OUM). Led by the masterful baton of a conductor steeped in the professionalism of the MSO, this young orchestra will once more rise to the challenge of measuring up to the greats. Dazzling listeners with its talent, energy, and freshness, this eighty member strong orchestra delivers convincingly professional performances. Amongst the most touching Québécois works in the repertoire, Lonely Child is sure to emerge from the OUM’s performance with renewed dynamism.

Presented as part of Montréal/New Music’s “Série Hommage.”

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
