Production Faculté de musique — Université de Montréal
A panoramic vista of Tremblay’s legacy: works by any and all generations of his students are assembled here by Lorraine Vaillancourt and the musicians of the Atelier de Musique Contemporaine de l’Université de Montréal. A tribute to Tremblay the composer, certainly, but also to Tremblay the teacher, underscoring his influence on more than one generation of composers… something that continues to grow.

In its 60 years of existence, the Université de Montréal’s music faculty has become renowned as the largest francophone music educational institution in North America.
The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
