Production Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur

Destination: Tel Aviv! In a musical get together, Israeli pianist Matan Porat invites listeners into his sonic universe, presenting gems of the pianistic repertoire by composers from both Israel (Keren, Porat) and Quebec (Sokolović, Vivier), including a premiere of a work by Maxime McKinley, composer-in-residence at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur.

Young, up and coming composer and pianist, soloist for several orchestras throughout the world including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and winner of a number of prestigious awards, Matan Porat has enchanted international audiences with his artistry both as a pianist and composer.

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
