Production Duo Beaudry-Belzile
An explosive journey between Ana’s compositions and the works that inspired them, as the violin duo Belzile-Beaudry moves from dance to dance, age to age, and country to country. Included in the evening’s musical excursions is an unpublished version of Sokolović’s Cinque danze, which comes face to face with a suite of dances by Telemann — it’s a way of creating contrasts, parallels, and by extension, discoveries. Bon Voyage!

Geneviève Beaudry and Valérie Belzile play in a variety of orchestras and ensembles within Quebec and have worked closely together since 2005.
The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
