Production Les Plaisirs du clavecin
Turning the spotlight towards female composers of yesterday and today! Les Plaisirs du Clavecin offers an entiere a programme of works by women composers from the Baroque to the present, performed by an ensemble of female musicians on period instruments. In this overview of this surprisingly rich repertoire, pride of place is reserved for Sokolović’s divertimento and its modern take on an old musical genre.

Les Plaisirs du Clavecin brings Baroque music to young and mature audiences, and is particularly interested in familiarizing the Gatineau public with harpsichord music.
The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
