After an “all-Tremblay” week-end with three performances of his new opera (Chants Libres), the broadcasting of his “sound landscape” (Centre-élan, Réseaux), the first performance of two arrangements for young musicians (concert of the FAMEQ), and the public launching of a comic book on Gilles Tremblay’s life, the Homage Series goes on! Two more concerts around the featured composer will be presented next Saturday and Sunday, by the Ensemble Chorum and the Orchestre 21.

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
