In October 2008, André Prévost’s Violin Concerto was presented by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra co-directed by Walter Boudreau and Susanna Mälkki for the 10th anniversary of the piece. Here’s the chance to dive in this great Québécois composer’s universe and follow Prévost step by step through the production of what would be his last important symphonic music, thanks to the work of film-maker James Dormeyer who followed him during 21 months — from the first sketches to the final concert with Chantal Juillet and the MSO under maestro Charles Dutoit.
