Actors and musicians of La fugue, our show for teens — presented in tandem with the with the company Qui va là — are currently on tour across the ocean! After its November 2008 presentation at the Festival Les Coups de Theatre, broadcasters in the United Kingdom expressed interest in this show that has the advantage of freedom from language constraints. La fugue, rife with overwhelming intensity, deals with the sensitive issue of street gangs, particularly a young runaway. It is most challenging to get the theme across to the audience without using words. No fewer than 9 performances are being given in Llanelli, Ystradgynlais, Harlech, Porthcawl, Powys and Abergavenny.

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
