Notice to all Associate Composers of the Canadian Music Centre
The Collegial Contemporary Music Prize is a music award bestowed yearly upon the “favourite” piece of contemporary Quebecois music from students at the collegial level enrolled in a CEGEP music program or at a conservatory.
Composers are invited to present a complete work, a movement or an extract of a suite, no longer than 15 minutes.
The Collegial Contemporary Music Prize accepts the following types of composition:

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
