SMCQ and the Salons de l’Ombre jaune introduce Ana et le Lion d’Or, a show that crosses the lines between theatre, cabaret and opera. Delivering a totally novel experience, the concept’s originality will entice curious spectators who are hungering for the experimental, as well as music lovers who will have the opportunity to rediscover several works of Ana Sokolovic, whose music provides a framework for this event. After the concert, remain in the Cabaret du Lion d’Or and enjoy Sokolović’s Chansons à boire along with works along the same lines, from Ana’s current and former students. For your pleasure!

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
