The musicians of the renowned George Sand Trio will come from France to let us hear again a few gems from the Quebecois repertoire of chamber music. They will be giving new performances of works by Nicolas Gilbert, Simon Bertrand, and John Rea, alongside a brand new work by French composer Gérard Pesson and Liszt’s famous Tristia. A concert under the sign of poetry and virtuoso playing.

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for over forty-five years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
