eXpress is a commission from the Institut international de musique électroacoustique de Bourges. It was premiered in France in June 2002. The footage was shot on the Bourges-Paris S.N.C.F. train. The highly kinetic allure of eXpress is obtained by forcing a very fast camera shutter speed with a large aperture. Trajectories and velocities… kinetic outrage… fields, village, city. The work is somewhat related to Bharat.
