violin, and processing
Commission: new version Ina-GRM
Dedicated to violinist Jérémie Siot by James Giroudon and Jean-François Estager.
Composed for violin and spatialized sounds, this work was written for violinist Jérémie Siot and completed with his collaboration. It is the first step of a composition project that revolves around a larger work for the instrumental ensemble Alter Ego (Rome). Sound materials that brush and overlap with each other between a reverberating violin, broadcast from several points, and smooth electronic sequences made up of multiple resonances call on the musician to explore timbral colour through various playing styles. The instrumental and electronic worlds glide towards each other in unlikely ways. — Produced by Grame.
