Quetzalpapalotl, the bird-butterfly palace in the Pyramid of the Moon in Tenochtitlan Mexico, arouses symbols of reincarnation, light, and darkness. The butterfly became a signal insect in the mythologies of Mexican civilizations, and a celebrated deity that continues to occupy a divine rank in our time. Across its 5 movements the work explores life as a grand mystery that humans should worship. It is inspired from the cercle of life of the butterfly: Birth, Transformation and Perpetual Transformation.
