Musicologist
SMCQ founding member in 1966, along with Jean Papineau-Couture, Serge Garant, Wilfrid Pelletier and Hugh Davidson, she went on to become its president from 1973 until 1982. Recognized as the "grandmother of composers" in Quebec, she was alternately a professor, a musicographer, a pianist, a radio-host for Radio-Canada and a communicator. Her constant commitment for promoting musical creation generally, and particularly Quebec composers, contributed greatly to the recognition of numerous musicians here and abroad, as evidenced by over 200 interviews which she conducted with artists during her career.
