Jennifer Waring received her early musical training with Sayyd Al-khabyyr and Robert Cram, principal flute of the National Arts Center Orchestra. She earned performance degrees from the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto, and studied in London (UK) with William Bennett, and in Paris (France) with Alain Marion. Currently based in Toronto, she is the artistic director of the Chalmers Award-winning ensemble Continuum Contemporary Music and is also director of Music for a Change, an organization that runs her audience development project “Composing for a Change” with orchestras and community arts centres throughout Canada. Jennifer Waring is on the faculty of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
