Known for her committed and colourful playing, Sonia Wheaton Dudley’s interests have led her toward performing solo and chamber music. She is a member of QAT, a quartet dedicated to new music which has received several grants from the Canada Council for the Arts. Sonia has had the occasion to perform on a regular basis in Canada and the United States. She is also called upon to play with various contemporary ensembles in Montréal. She finished her Doctorate of Music in performance in 2007 at Université de Montréal where she studied with Paul Stewart. She also studied with Jean Saulnier at the same university for a Master’s degree that she received in 2003. In 2007 she was invited to participate in a summer music academy in Michelstadt, Germany where she studied with pianists Daniel Pollack and Lily Dorfman. She is presently the Music Director at the Annunciation Parish in Montréal.
