Le téléphone bien tempéré by Johann Sebastian Bach, Walter Boudreau, Yves Daoust.

Premiered during the MNM festival 2011, Le téléphone bien tempéré will be performed again as part of the A Fugue at the Museum festival. The SMCQ ensemble will appear before and alongside the audience; spectators are invited to participate in this piece of music, equipped with their cell phones.

A work inspired by the first Prelude and Fugue from Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, Le téléphone bien tempéré is an extraordinary piece in which the majestic sounds of organ, harpsichord and wind quintet will mix with an expertly organised commotion of ringing phones spread out in space. Not to be missed—a musical and telephonic event for the whole family!

Public notice: Please program a quick ringing response on your cell phone, activated by the touch of your finger and lasting 1 to 2 seconds. Please do not program any music excerpts (tunes, songs, symphonic themes, etc.), only telephone rings!
